Day 1: Core route planning

  • The general approach is Kathgodam to Dharchula and Gunji; the number of travel and acclimatization days is set only after current conditions are checked.
  • Onward planning branches toward Jolingkong for Adi Kailash views and Nabidhang for Om Parvat views.

Day 2: Adi Kailash and Om Parvat sector

  • Adi Kailash (about 5,945m), also called Chhota Kailash, is considered sacred to Shiva and Parvati and is associated with Parvati Sarovar, Gauri Kund, and Ganesh Parvat.
  • Om Parvat (about 6,191m) is viewed from Nabidhang and is known for its natural snow formation resembling Om.

Day 3: Optional Panchachuli extension

  • A separate approach to Panchachuli Base Camp runs via Sobla and Dugtu village, through Darma Valley along the Dhauliganga River.
  • The area is associated in local belief with the Pandavas and must be planned as a separate route component.
